Report of the SLP Advisory Committee (2010)

Anne Louise Thompson, Bureau Chief, Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE), Bureau of Special Education, requested the formation of a Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) Advisory Committee in the fall of 2009. The stated charge to the committee was to examine and advise CSDE regarding critical issues in the field of speech-language pathology in the state of Connecticut including the continued shortage of SLPs in Connecticut schools, the roles of SLPs and SLP Assistants/Aides (SLPAs), and professional development needs.
