Full Text Journal Article Searching

The SERC Library now offers patrons the ability to search four online databases for full text journal articles through H.W. Wilson's Education Index and EBSCOHost Databases. These databases are only accessible by visiting the SERC Library.

 

H.W. Wilson's Education Index:

Education Full Text covers a comprehensive group of international English-Language periodicals, monographs, and yearbooks. Full text articles, cover to cover from hundreds of journals make this a one-stop source for research. Full text articles from some journals are available as far back as 1996 with indexing and abstracts of journals as far back as 1983. Most full text articles are available in either an HTML or PDF format*.

 

EBSCOHost Databases:

ERIC Database is a national information system supported by the U.S. Department of Education, the National Library of Education, and the Office of Educational Research and Improvement. The database provides access to information from journals included in the Current Index to Journals in Education and Resources in Education Index. ERIC provides full text of more than 2,200 digests along with references for additional information and citations and abstracts from over 1,000 educational and education-related journals. A limited number of journal articles are available as full text articles in either HTML or PDF format*.

Education Research Complete is the definitive online resource for education research. Topics covered include all levels of education from early childhood to higher education, and all educational specialties, such as multilingual education, health education, and testing. Education Research Complete provides indexing and abstracts for more than 1,500 journals, as well as full text for more than 750 journals, and includes full text for more than 100 books and monographs, and for numerous education-related conference papers.

Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection is a comprehensive database covering information concerning topics in emotional and behavioral characteristics, psychiatry and psychology, mental processes, anthropology, and observational and experimental methods in more than 450 full text journals available in either an HTML or PDF format*.

 

HTML  - (blue outlined box on left hand side of screen) - no graphs or charts.

PDF  - (red Acrobat symbol box on left hand side of screen) - will give you graphs and charts; prints out like article appears in printed journal.
