Borrowing Information

Borrowing Limits: Each member may check out 3 resources in each of the 10 categories (i.e., books, tests, instructional materials, vertical file pamphlets, young people's books, family books, CDROMs,  inservice materials, SFCP resources, and web resources).  All resources are due back 3 weeks.  There is an overdue fine for any resources held out later than 3 weeks. No patron can have more than 3 resources in each category signed out at one time regardless of the resources being signed out on different days.

Renewals:

Resources borrowed from the Library may not be renewed.  However, you may check out the same resource(s) again one week after their return.  No patron may consecutively borrow copies of the same resource.

Returning Resources:

Our Library is not part of the Interlibrary loan system.  Resources must be checked out and returned to SERC Circulation Desk.  ITEMS MAY NOT BE RETURNED BY MAIL or left in any other area of the building.

Checking Out Restrictions:

Any patron with overdue resources to the Library will not be allowed to take out additional resources until all overdue resources are returned.

If patrons are not picking up reserve items in person, only a family member residing at the same address can pick up the resources.  The family member must have the patron's card with them.

Restricted Tests:

Only the person who has presented verification of their qualifications to borrow restricted tests can pick them up.  NO other persons will be allowed to pick up restricted tests for patrons.
