Action Team Training provides school-based teams with new information and strategies for creating true partnerships with families and the community that support school improvement plans and bolster student success. This one-day training opportunity will also strengthen the efforts of schools to develop comprehensive partnership programs that meet federal, state, and district policy requirements for parent involvement. Teams will engage in interactive, “hands on” training to plan and implement activities around six key types of involvement developed by Dr. Joyce Epstein, Director of the National Network of Partnership Schools (NNPS) at Johns Hopkins University.

Each School-Family-Community Action Team will receive membership to the National Network of Partnership Schools (NNPS) at Johns Hopkins University and quarterly CT School-Family-Community Partnerships Newsletters. They will
also be included in the CT SFCP database to receive announcements of future trainings and conference offerings.
