The State Education Resource Center’s (SERC) vision is to unlock the potential of children and youth in Connecticut so that each and every one will achieve personal and professional life outcomes through his or her educational experience.
Our Mission
The State Education Resource Center’s mission is to promote excellence in education for all children and youth in the state of Connecticut. As a centralized library and resource center for professionals, families, and community members, SERC provides information, research, and professional development on best practices to better prepare educators to meet the needs of the students they serve. SERC, a nonprofit organization affiliated with the Connecticut State Department of Education, has been serving Connecticut’s educators, students, and families since 1969.
